Changes to UBS Board of Directors and Group Executive Board
UBS Group AG announced significant changes to its Board of Directors and Group Executive Board. Lukas Gähwiler, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, will retire after a 45-year career in financial services and will not stand for re-election at the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). Markus Ronner, a long-time UBS executive, will be nominated as Vice Chairman. Additionally, the Group Executive Board will see several changes effective January 1, 2026. Michelle Bereaux will take on the role of Group Head Compliance and Operational Risk Control, Beatriz Martin will become Group Chief Operating Officer, and Mike Dargan will focus on technological advancements as Group Chief Technology Officer. These changes aim to strengthen UBS's governance and operational efficiency as it continues to integrate Credit Suisse.
