Ramaco Resources Announces Strategic Initiative to Establish National Critical Minerals Stockpile
Ramaco Resources, Inc. has announced a strategic initiative to establish a national stockpile of rare earth elements and critical minerals at its Brook Mine facility in Wyoming. The initiative, approved by the company's Board, aims to create the Strategic Critical Minerals Terminal (SCMT) in collaboration with a nationally recognized commodity structuring and financial advisor. The SCMT is designed to position Ramaco as a vertically integrated producer of critical minerals and rare earth elements in the United States. The stockpile will address both private and public needs for secure access to these materials, which are vital for national security and advanced technologies. The Brook Mine site offers strategic advantages due to its location and infrastructure, including direct connectivity to the BNSF railroad and proximity to a major interstate highway. Ramaco expects the SCMT to generate stable cash flows and serve as a strategic national infrastructure asset. The company also plans to increase its annual commercial rare earth and critical mineral oxide production to approximately 3,400 tons.
