Power of Attorney for John G. Morriss

John G. Morriss, EVP and Chief Investment Officer of Lincoln National Corporation, has appointed Nancy A. Smith and Claire H. Hanna as his attorneys-in-fact. This power of attorney authorizes them to execute and file Forms 3, 4, and 5 on his behalf in compliance with Section 16(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The attorneys-in-fact are also authorized to manage Morriss's EDGAR account, including appointing and removing account administrators, maintaining account security, and certifying information. This power of attorney will remain in effect until Morriss is no longer required to file these forms or until he revokes it in writing.
