ING Announces Executive Board and Management Board Banking Changes

ING Groep N.V. announced significant changes to its Executive Board and Management Board Banking. Ljiljana Čortan, currently the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and a member of both boards, will succeed Andrew Bester as the head of Wholesale Banking no later than the Annual General Meeting in April 2026. Čortan will step down from the Executive Board upon assuming her new role. Andrew Bester, who joined ING in April 2021, will step down from the Management Board and return to his UK home base to begin the non-executive phase of his career. The appointment of Čortan is subject to regulatory approval, and the search for her successor as CRO has been initiated.
