HIVE Digital Technologies Expands Renewable Energy Capacity and AI Operations

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. has announced significant expansions in its renewable energy capacity and AI operations. The company signed a definitive agreement to develop an additional 100 MW hydroelectric-powered data center in Paraguay, increasing its total renewable capacity in the country to 400 MW. This expansion is expected to boost HIVE's global Bitcoin mining target to 35 EH/s by 2026. Additionally, HIVE is accelerating its AI Cloud expansion by converting Tier-1 data centers into Tier-3 high-performance computing (HPC) facilities in Sweden. The company has also surpassed 22 EH/s in global Bitcoin-mining capacity, marking a 267% year-to-date growth. HIVE's strategic partnerships, including with Bell Canada, aim to enhance its AI infrastructure and deliver advanced sovereign AI ecosystems.
