Copel Q3 2025 Energy Market Performance
Companhia Paranaense de Energia (Copel) reported a 1.7% increase in electricity consumption in its distribution grid market for the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by lower temperatures, which boosted residential consumption for heating, and increased economic activity, which benefited the commercial and industrial segments. The billed grid market, which excludes energy compensated by Mini and Micro Distributed Generation (MMGD), also saw a 1.7% increase. Year-to-date, the billed grid market grew by 1.5%. Copel's total energy sales, including contributions from Copel DisCo, Copel GenCo, Wind Farms, and Copel TradeCo, showed significant growth, with Copel Comercialização reporting a 25.0% increase in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 2024. The company also highlighted the performance of its Wind Farms Complexes, which saw a 6.5% increase in energy sales. Copel's consolidated market showed a 7.7% increase in energy sold year-to-date.
