Power of Attorney for Mary Sue Patchett

Mary Sue Patchett, Interim EVP - Operations of Brookdale Senior Living Inc., has granted a Power of Attorney to Chad C. White and Rebecca C. Taylor. This authorization allows them to act on her behalf in matters related to SEC filings, including the preparation and submission of Forms 3, 4, 5, and other required documents under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Power of Attorney also includes the ability to manage her EDGAR account, including the appointment of account administrators and the maintenance of account security. This authorization remains in effect until Patchett is no longer required to file these forms, unless revoked earlier in writing.
