Trillion Energy Announces Warrant Extension for 4.6 Million Warrants

Trillion Energy International Inc. filed a Form 6-K announcing the extension of 4,633,965 outstanding warrants issued in connection with various tranche closings of a non-brokered private placement. The warrants, originally issued in May and June 2024 with exercise prices of $0.90, will have their expiration dates extended by one additional year to May-June 2027. The Canadian Securities Exchange granted an exemption from policy requirements to allow the extension. The extension may constitute a related party transaction as one director owns 160,000 of the warrants, but qualifies for exemptions from formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements. The warrants maintain an acceleration provision allowing the company to shorten the expiry if the share price reaches C$1.75 for seven consecutive trading days.
