Grupo Simec Announces Results of Operations for the Twelve-Month Period Ended December 31, 2025

Grupo Simec reported its financial results for the twelve-month period ended December 31, 2025. Net sales decreased by 10% to Ps. 30,291 million, attributed to a 6% decrease in shipments and a 4% lower average sales price. Shipments of finished steel products fell to 1.933 million tons. Total sales outside Mexico decreased by 14%, while sales within Mexico decreased by 7%. The cost of sales decreased by 12% to Ps. 22,783 million, representing 75% of net sales. Gross profit slightly decreased by 2% to Ps. 7,508 million, with gross profit margin improving to 25% of net sales. Selling, general, and administrative expenses increased by 9% to Ps. 2,829 million, representing 9% of net sales. Operating profit decreased by 2% to Ps. 5,205 million. EBITDA decreased by 1% to Ps. 6,287 million. Net income attributable to controlling interest saw a significant decrease of 86% to Ps. 1,496 million, primarily due to a shift from a net exchange profit in 2024 to a net exchange loss in 2025.
