Transocean Ltd. Announces New Contract for Deepwater Conqueror

Transocean Ltd. announced that its drillship, the Deepwater Conqueror, has been awarded a two-well contract in Equatorial Guinea with an undisclosed operator. The contract is estimated to last 170 days and is expected to begin in 2027, directly following the rig's current contract in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. This new contract is anticipated to add approximately $80 million to Transocean's backlog, excluding additional services and mobilization/demobilization costs. The company highlighted its position as a leading international provider of offshore contract drilling services, specializing in ultra-deepwater and harsh environment operations with a high-specification fleet.
