ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC. Reports Second Quarter 2026 Results

ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC. reported its second quarter 2026 financial results, showing a significant increase in revenue and a return to profitability. Revenue for 2Q26 was NT$7,383.1 million (US$231.8 million), a 6.5% increase from the previous quarter and a 28.7% increase year-over-year. The gross margin improved to 18%, compared to 13.8% in 1Q26 and 6.6% in 2Q25. The company reported a net profit attributable to equity holders of NT$891.7 million (US$28.0 million), or NT$1.28 (US$0.04) per basic common share, a substantial improvement from a net loss in the same period last year. Net earnings per basic ADS were US$0.80, compared to a net loss of US$0.47 per basic ADS in 2Q25. The company ended the quarter with a strong cash and cash equivalents balance of NT$12,552.3 million (US$394.1 million). ChipMOS also announced a cash dividend distribution. The company anticipates a stronger second half of 2026 compared to the first half, driven by demand in the memory sector and signs of improvement in the DDIC market.
