Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. Acquires Comtech’s Satellite & Space Communications Segment

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced on June 15, 2026, that its subsidiary, Wavestream Corporation, has entered into a Securities Purchase Agreement to acquire Comtech’s Satellite & Space Communications segment for $157.5 million. This acquisition aims to create a leading provider of advanced defense and satellite communications solutions, with projected annual revenues exceeding $700 million. The deal, which excludes Comtech’s cyber and services business lines, is expected to be fully funded by Gilat’s existing cash resources. The acquisition is anticipated to accelerate Gilat’s transformation, expand its U.S. presence and engineering capabilities, and broaden its technology portfolio. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals such as CFIUS and HSR clearance, and is expected to close by the end of 2026.
