Clene Inc. Enters Third Year Subaward Agreement for NIH Grant

Clene Inc. has entered into a subaward agreement with New York University (NYU) for the third year of a grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH). This agreement, valued at up to $8.0 million for the period of September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026, supports an Expanded Access Program for CNM-Au8® treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The funds will be disbursed to Clene Inc. based on monthly invoice submissions to NYU. The agreement allows for termination by either party with 30 days written notice. Clene Inc. will retain rights to its background intellectual property used in the program, with specific safeguards for confidentiality. This subaward is part of a larger NIH Grant initially announced on October 5, 2023.
